
Nicholas Chieh Loh, MBBS (NUS), BClinSc, ATCL is a doctor and clinical researcher. He is part of an ophthalmology clinical research group led by A/Prof Rupesh Agrawal, focusing on uveitis and the role of choroidal vascularity index (CVI) as a biomarker.
Additionally, Nicholas works with Dr David Chen, a consultant ophthalmologist at NUHS with whom Nicholas was first author on a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomised-controlled trials comparing enhanced monofocal with conventional monofocal intraocular lenses in patients undergoing senile cataract surgery.
Nicholas has presented abstracts at both local and international conferences such as EUVRE-USICON 2023, and ARVO 2024 for which he secured S$ 1,200 in Overseas Conference Sponsorship funding. Nicholas’ manuscripts have been accepted and published in Survey of Ophthalmology, British Journal of Ophthalmology, and Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology. At an h-index of 2, six PubMed-indexed publications, one accepted Elsevier book chapter, Nicholas is excited for what lies ahead in his research and academic journey.
